How to Make Money With Teleseminars

Do you ever wonder how those folks offering free teleseminars ever make money?

I'll let you in on three secrets.

First, making money with teleseminars is a great goal...however, don't overlook the importance of building your email list with teleseminars as well. Many people from all over the globe have registered for my teleseminars and continue to receive information and promotions from me.

How to Make Money With Teleseminars

Second, teleseminars are a great way to deliver good content that you can then repurpose (reuse) in other information products that you can sell. Here are just some ideas to get you started:

1) Record your teleseminars and post the audios in a membership only library on your website or blog. Members pay a fee to join.

2) Record your teleseminars and turn them into a CD that you can sell or send for free to people who will share their postal address with you. Gathering postal addresses is becoming more important as people are inundated with emails that they don't open.

When you have their postal address, you can send direct mail pieces like postcards and letters.

3) Have your recorded teleseminar transcribed - you can then combine the CD and transcript and sell them as an information product. You might "beef it up" with additional bonus pages and reports.

4) If you have several related teleseminars or a multi-part teleseminar series, you can create several CDs with transcripts and create a home study kit. These can sell from to 7 depending on the topic and volume.

Topics that are targeted to a very special niche are good candidates for the higher dollar information products. For example, you could sell a "time management for busy professionals" information product. If you instead created "time management for dentists" you'd command more money. You'd have to use their jargon and know something about the demands of their work to customize your content to them but you don't need to be a dentist!

Third, teleseminars are a great way to gather information for a book or for a coaching group or a teleseminar series. Hold a teleseminar on your topic area and leave plenty of time for participant questions.

Have it transcribed and note your answers, in your words, to their questions. You find out what your audience's concerns are, how you provide solutions and where you might need to do research to get more information.

Now you're on your way to creating your next information product -the biggest secret is that you'll want to create several products-once someone loves your product they WILL want more.

Do you know how to use teleseminars to interview the thought leaders in your market? Read on to discover the 7 steps you need to know.

The 7 steps

1. Find a Market of Interest - Finding a market does not mean finding a topic. A topic is not a market. A market is made up of people who are passionate about a topic and have money to spend.

2. Seek 40 Thought Leaders in that Market - These are the leaders in your market of interest. In other words, these

leaders interest you because they're in that market of interest to you. When you seek the 40 thought leaders out, you're going to tell them that you'll do 100% of the work and that you're going to pay 100% of the cost.

3. Contact All 40 Thought Leaders to JV with Three - This is so powerful. You need to contact all of them, and with some of

them, you'll be calling eight, 10, 12, 15, 30 times. In the end, you'll JV with three of them because I have found that eight percent of the

people will say yes if they are unfamiliar with you.

4. Publish Web Pages for Each - Sometimes you can get an interview with someone who's very difficult

simply by putting up a web page that has their ask name on it first.

5. Host the TeleSeminars - You host them, interview them and say, "Here's what I want to do. You email your list. You can make it go to just prospects, if you'd like, and I'll host it for you. I'll interview you. Your prospects are really asking the questions anyway. Now, it will be a free call; however, if they want the replay, we'll give it to them for , and you will get 100% of the profit." Think about that. You host a teleseminar. It's a free call. It's going to their list, and you can build a list if you want. You can get that as a free payment, or you can just get branding value by being associated with that thought leader.

6. Record Your Call and Have It Transcribed - When you interview someone, you want to record the call and have it transcribed. Then, you can sell the audio transcripts, which is a short way of saying that you get the audio recording and the enhanced PDF transcripts. This could allow you to get a little piece of the profit, if you ask the leaders you are interviewing for that.

7. Resell It or Give It Away - Ask the thought leader, "Can I resell the audio transcripts after the call and keep 100% of the profit?" If he asks, "Why?," say, "You're branded all over the place, and this is all about you. Can I at least give it away because if I give it away more people will see it? So I'm giving you free advertising."

Teleseminars are calls that give you an opportunity to present your information and expertise to others from the comfort of your telephone. People can call in from anywhere in the world to hear what you have to teach to them.

Your listeners will call in on something called a bridge line. There are some bridge lines that are free, while others charge a small monthly fee for access. The most convenient times to offer teleseminars are usually Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from about four o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock. Depending on your topic and your listeners you may be able to give calls during the day. This would work well for people who are at home during the day, or for those who work from their homes.

I learned the concept of giving teleseminars from Jeff Herring. Jeff offers a free call each week, where he introduces his topic of article writing and marketing to promote business on the internet. From these free weekly calls he is able to get many people to sign up for teleseminars that will be given over a four week period or longer.
